Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank (APGB), a regional rural bank headquartered in Kadapa, required a comprehensive surveillance system to strengthen security at its head office and other branch locations. The objective was to install CCTV cameras at key points within the premises including entry gates, staff areas, lockers, offices, and public zones to support safety, prevent unauthorized access, and keep visual records of daily activities. Brihaspathi Technologies was selected to carry out the planning, supply, installation, and maintenance of the CCTV system.

Challenges :

  1. 1 High Camera Volume: Installing and managing a network of approximately 1900 CCTV cameras across various sites required detailed coordination and inventory planning.
  2. 2 Variety of Locations: Cameras needed to be deployed in diverse areas like parking spaces, staff rooms, locker rooms, and main banking halls—each requiring different surveillance coverage and mounting setups.
  3. 3 Security Sensitivity Being a financial institution, the bank required discreet yet effective monitoring without interfering with employee privacy or the customer experience.
  4. 4 System Scalability and Maintenance :With multiple branches included, the system had to be easy to manage, maintain, and possibly expand in the future.
